As a consultant to transportation outsourcers or intermediaries, Petrick works with executives to integrate and constantly upgrade technology, arrange staff training and certification, report on trends, identify best markets and provide integrated marketing.
Petrick was head of a 24 person marketing firm in New Jersey for twelve years before being recruited to Virginia. For the past eight years, she has headed Petrick Outsourcing UNLIMITED, a marketing and management consulting firm specializing in the transportation business.
Petrick is a nationally recognized speaker and writer, addressing dozens of associations and corporate audiences each year. She specializes in "thinking outside the box." She contracts as a facilitator, strategic planner, spokesperson and teleconference anchor. She is also a spokesperson for outsourcing, a multi-billion dollar emerging industry.
She learned the transportation business by serving members of the Transportation Brokers Conference of America, as executive director. At TBCA, Petrick accomplished a turn-around in the image of the association and its members. She spearheaded the transition to the Transportation Intermediaries Association.
